Question 1: What modifications make the biggest difference in the speed of Pinewood Derby cars (location of weights, sanding and waxing wheels, location of axles, amount of graphite, etc.)? I only want to test legal modifications so the test results can be used in real races. See Official Rules

Question 2: If I use what I learn from these tests, can I make a car faster than the fastest car I made in Cub Scouts?
